Incheon International High School is a three-year public high school and boarding school. The school opened in 2008 and graduated its first senior class in February of 2011. The school was accredited as a specific purpose high school which specializes in international subjects, such as international law, international politics, international relations, and international economics.
There are 400 students are enrolled, including 133 seniors, 138 sophomores, and 129 freshmen. The multicultural student body is serviced by a certificated staff of 54 faculty members including its principal and vice principal. 55.8% of IIHS teachers have advanced degrees, including three doctoral degrees and 26 master degrees. The student body consists primarily of Koreans, but there are some students from the U.S. and China.
Incheon International High School has been nationally recognized as one of the top high schools by the Korea Nationwide School Review.
Of the graduating students from middle schools in Incheon city and other cities, only the top class students in English subjects, recommended by their principals, can apply to IIHS. Students with experiences of studying abroad, international students, or students who belong to minority groups have unique opportunities to apply for admission.
