During October of 10th grade, all students are given the opportunity to participate in our Global Impact in the USA program as part of the curriculum. While taking part in this program, students take joint classes with American students at sister schools, join group studies, participate in volunteer activities, and complete individual research and project reports resulting in constructive, cross-cultural experiences.
This project provides students with the opportunity to debate and discuss global issues. By incorporating UNESCO’s ideology and philosophy based on peace, human rights, and international understanding into the school curriculum, this program prepares students to become future world leaders with substantive global views. Students deal with global issues and the role of the United Nations system concerning issues such as education for sustainable development, peace and human rights, and intercultural learning. Many students have won awards, and others have organized and participated in nationwide Model United Nations.
This internationally recognized program is utilized as an important tool to recognize and foster the development of students potential capacities. The determining criteria for earning this prestigious honor requires students to show active involvement and dedication in physical training, self-development, volunteering, and exploring activities. Many students have won the Bronze prize and above.

IIHS has invited ambassadors, diplomats, and scientists to conduct lectures, presentations, and discussions which entertain, inform, and inspire students.
