Incheon International High School (IIHS) operates a seven-period day and offers a variety of subjects in many fields, and more than 70 units (or credits) a year:
Through the various elective subjects in the curriculum, IIHS students prepare for admission to domestic top universities along with overseas universities. The teaching and learning style in most of the subjects involves seminars, presentations, research, group discussions, etc., all of which equip students with the skills and knowledge needed for higher education institutions. Students must complete a total of 210 units and complete a variety of club activities to satisfy graduation requirements. The maximum course load for students per semester is 31 units.
IIHS encourages students to maximize their learning and take advantage of complete college-level courses. Students take can choose specialized classes such as AP World History, Essay Presentation, Creative Writing, AP Calculus, AP Macro/Microeconomics and more from grades 10 to 12. These courses are taught in English by qualified lecturers who have majored in those fields at overseas universities.
