Integrated Education Between Incheon International High School and Mi Chu Hoi School Under the motto “Sow the seeds together for a brighter tomorrow, all IIHS students organize and conduct various educationally and socially enriching activities with physically and mentally disabled students at Mi Chu Hoi School. Through this program, students raise their emotional intelligence by learning and practicing the values of companionship and stewardship for fellow human beings.
The goal of this program is to raise concern for the welfare of others by fostering money-saving habits. Through planned donations, the program aims to cultivate the international notion of humanity and respect for life. Eighteen children from 10 underdeveloped or developing countries are designated to the classes, and an account is established for each class to donate 30,000 KRW ($1.00 per person). By donating through World Vision, students gain a wider global mindset and a deeper awareness of humanitarian concerns.
In partnership with elementary and middle schools in Unseo-dong, IIHS encourages students to participate in a one-on-one mentorship program. The purpose of this program is to connect IIHS students with younger students who may benefit from academic guidance. Through the program, the student mentor tutors the mentee for one year in various subjects. Students who receive mentoring are elementary school students between 4th and 6th grade or 1st grade middle school students.
